Solar Energy

Solar is a way of generating electricity from using a renewable source, this is how it works:

  1. When the sun is shining, the photo voltaic panels of a solar PV located on your roof capture sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity.

  2. Your Solar PV system, using an inverter, converts this electricity into 240V alternating current (AC) electricity which you can use around your home.

  3. Under a net feed-in system (VIC), electricity then gets distributed for use around your home.

  4. Any excess electricity is fed into the electricity grid through your electricity meter.
